The Athletic Training Staff of the University of Texas at Arlington consists of the head, associate, assistant and student athletic trainers. Working with team physicians, our goal is to provide quality medical care for the student athletes of UT Arlington. Each member of the Sports Medicine Team will work to provide leadership, advice and service necessary to prevent injury, care for the injured and sick, and rehabilitate and recondition the injured athlete.

The Athletic Training Room at Maverick Stadium went through a renovation in 2018 with new flooring, treatment tables ,lighting, cabinets and treatment modalities to enable the medical staff to provide quality care and comfort to our student-athletes. The repurposed Cardio and Rehab Room at Maverick Stadium  gives our student-athletes an expanded area for cardiovascular work on updated treadmills and ellipticals ,as well as, an area to replenish energy at the Nutrition Station.

We strive at UTA to keep facilities that are state of the art. This includes Hydroworx pools in the College Park Center and an up to date Rehab Facility to manage the needs of all of our student-athletes.

Our mission is to foster a positive, safe, challenging, and properly equipped training environment. Our programs utilize sport specific, scientific principles, sound techniques, and a high level of intensity and motivation in a year-round training cycle. The focal points of our training programs will be: functional strength, improving mental fortitude, sport specific speed and agility, appropriate energy system development, flexibility, stability and mobility.

The University of Texas at Arlington athletic department houses two state of the art performance facilities, equipped with top of the line equipment to help our student-athletes maximize their athletic potential.
