ARLINGTON, Texas...The University of Texas at Arlington volleyball squad, the defending Southland Conference champion, will take the court Sunday, August 24 for a blue/white scrimmage at Texas Hall. The preview of the 2003 squad is open to the public and admission will not be charged. First serve is set for 4 p.m.

The Mavericks are picked to repeat as league champions in 2003, and boast three preseason all-conference picks in juniors Heather Dunn and Caley Smith and senior Melissa Robinett.

Texas-Arlington will open the 2003 campaign at Long Beach State on Friday, August 29. UTA's home opener comes on September 5th when the Mavericks host Arkansas-Little Rock for a 7 p.m. affair on the first day of the UTA Invitational.
