CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Freshman Jody Broccoli-Hickey recorded his first top 20 finish of his collegiate career with a time of 2-minutes, 35-seconds to take 17 th place at the Islander Splash Meet hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi here Friday, Oct. 1.

UTA was seventh in the 13-team field with 126 points. Rice won the men's title with 33 points, followed closely by Southland Conference member Stephen F. Austin's 41 points.

UTA showed balance with its top three runners finishing within 22 seconds of each other. Junior Daniel Noah finished right behind Hickey with a 27:48. Freshman Sean Cross was 21 st with a 27:57.

Other UTA runners include: Josh Smith (34 th/29:29), Kevin Opp (36 th/29:50) and Chris Miller (43 rd/31:18).

UTA returns to action Oct. 16 when they compete at the Chili Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
