DENTON, Texas - Senior distance runner Lisa Haglund clocked a time of 4:39.15 to finish second in the 1,500 meters at the 2005 Mean Green Twilight Meet here April 30.

Haglund trailed only S.F. Austin's Ana Rodriguez's 4:36.36. in one of the final races of her career.

In the pole vault, Vanessa Maida and Lacey Moore cleared the bar at 3.35 meters (10-11.75) to tie for eighth place.

At the Drake Releays in Des Moines, Iowa, the Mavericks' 4x200-meter relay team of Ellen Garrison, Brittany Williams, Kourtnee Jones and Shana Rash finished sixth with a 1:37.58.

UTA will host the 25th UTA Open Friday and Saturday at Maverick Stadium.
