NORMAN, Okla. - Sophomore Tiffanie Reeves used a put of 46-feet, nine-inches to place 11th in the women's shot put at the NCAA Division I 2005 Outdoor Track and Field Midwest Regional Meet here May 28.
The Olney native who earned all-Southland Conference honors with a put of 47-05.25 at the Southland Conference Championships on May 15 was the fourth-best underclassman in the region behind champion Michelle Carter of Texas (57-09) who set a new regional record in the competition, Kacey Onwuchekwa of Texas A&M (3-1025) and freshman Liz Podominick of Minnesota (52-08).
The top five individuals and the next eight best efforts advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif., June 8-11.
