MAVERICK TRIO EARN GOLD

HOUSTON, Texas - UTA's Ellen Garrison, Ellen Garrison and Lacey Moore won individual titles at the Southland Conference Indoor Track Championships at the Bill Yeoman Field House here Saturday.

Taylor won the women's 800 meters with a 2:14.30. Sophomore Carranda Mose finished second behind Taylor with a 2:17.86.

Garrison claimed the 60-meter dash with a 7.61 and Moore won the pole vault with a height of 3.85 meters.

The Mavericks grabbed 17 points in the vault with Maida finishing third and an eighth-place finish by freshman Erin Cluiss.

Sophomore Jodi Hulett just missed all-conference honors with a fourth-place finish in the 3,000 meters with a 10:06.86.

UTA finished fourth in the men's division and sixth in the women's division.
