AUSTIN, Texas - UT-Arlington sprinter Kourtnee Jones turned in a time of 11.71 seconds in the 100 meters to finish seventh at the NCAA Midwest Regional Track and Field Championships Saturday at the Mike A. Myers Track Stadium here.

Jones, who had clocked a personal-best time of 11.48 during Friday's prelims, scored the Mavs' first points of the meet.

TCU sophomore Virgil Hodge posted a Midwest-region-meet record time of 11.10 to advance to the nationals.

Jones will wait to see if she receives an at-large berth in the 100 meters at the NCAA National Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, Calif.
