STILLWATER, Okla. - UT Arlington junior Jodi Hulett (Arlington, Texas) continued her strong fall season with her third top-10 finish of the season as she clocked a personal-best time of 18-minutes, 03-seconds over 5,000 meters to finish sixth at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree here Saturday morning.
UT Arlington used Hulett's time to finish sixth in the 15-team field. The Mavericks' rolled up 158 points and just missed a top-four finish. Oklahoma State (49), Wichita State (79), TCU (81), Tulsa (149) and Kansas State (157) were the top five teams.
Hulett, who was named the South Conference Co-Athlete of the Week in women's cross country after a fourth-place finish at the Texas A&M Invitational on Sept. 16, nipped OSU's Hanna Holst at the tape for sixth place.
Freshman Ida Landgraff (Oslo, Norway) took 21st place with a time of 18:46. Caroline Erlingson (Angelholm, Sweden) was 29th with a 19:03. Senior Ivorita Taylor (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) was 46th with a 19:37 and Carranda Mose (Pearland, Texas) finished 56th with a 19:50. Freshman Christina Mose (Pearland, Texas) clocked a time of 21:23 for 81st.
The Mavericks return to action for their final tune-up before the Southland Conference Championships, Oct. 27 in Nacogdoches, Texas, when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Chili Pepper Invitational on Oct. 14.
