DENTON, Texas - Junior runner Jodi Hulett was the top Maverick runner with a two-mile time of 11-minutes, 18.63-seconds for ninth place at the 29th Annual North Texas Invitational at the Eagle Point Cross Country Course here Saturday.
Hulett led the Mavericks to a fourth-place finish in the six-team field. Baylor won the event with 20 points, TCU followed with 51 and Oklahoma State was third with 74. UT Arlington tallied 97 points while host North Texas (146) and new Southland Conference-member Central Arkansas (167) rounded out the field.
Newcomer Ida Landdgaff (Oslo, Norway) posted a top-20 finish in her first meet with an 18th-place finish with a time of 11:52.54.
Senior Ivorita Taylor, competing in competition for the first time in almost a year, was 25th with a 12:13.29. Carolina Erlingson overcame early season injuries to finish 28th (12:24.74) and sister duo Christina and Carranda Mose were next with times of 12:27.71 and 12:29.92, respectively.
UTA returns to action next Saturday at the Texas A&M Invitational.
