FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - UT Arlington freshman Christina Mose claimed second place in the mile run with a time of 5:28.23 and sophomore transfer Ida Landgraff clocked the fourth fastest indoor time in school history with a 2:12.92 for fifth place in the women's 800 meters to highlight's Friday's competition at the Arkansas Invitational here.
Landgraff's time trails only Mishael Bertrand-Berger (2:06.60 in 2000), Therese Ahlepil (2:08.27 in 1997) and Kasja Haglund (2:10.08 in 2002) among the all-time 800-meter times in UT Arlkington history.
Senior Linda Rosema broke her own school record in the weight throw with a toss of 16.92 meters (55-06.25), breaking her old mark by more than three feet. She also finished seventh in the shot put with an indoor personal best of 13.06m (42-10.25) by a half-inch.
Senior Vanessa Maida led a group of three Mav pole vaulters in the top 10 with a vault of 3.70 meters (12-feet, 1.5-inches) for sixth place. Sophomore Erin Cluiss was ninth (3.55m/11-07.75) and senior Lacey Moore was 10th (3.40m/11-01.75).
The Mavericks will compete at the Wes Kittley Invitational in Lubbock next Friday.
