AUSTIN, Texas - UT Arlington sophomore runner Idilio Campos clocked a time of 3-minutes, 55.27-seconds for third place during the opening day of the 80th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at the Mike A. Myers Track Stadium Wednesday.
Campos, who posted a career-best time of 3:54.77 at last week's Bobby Lane Arlington Invitational, trailed Ken State's Tony Jordanek (3:52.28) and Tarleton State's Rey Hinojosa (3:52.65).
In the 5,000 meters, senior Koby Styles finished fifth with a time of 14:47.85, in his first 5,000-meter race of his collegiate career. Junior Jodi Broccoli-Hickey was 12th with a personal-best time of 15:04.48.
Freshman Zach Davis clocked a time of 1:55.64 in the 800 meters to place sixth in his section late Wednesday.
In women's action, junior Carranda Mose shaved almost two seconds off her personal-best time with a 2:15.64 for sixth place in section two of the women's 800-meter run.
The Relays continue Thursday and will conclude Saturday.
