OAK HILLS INVITATIONAL DAY ONE RESULTS 
SAN ANTONIO, Tx. - The UTA golf team is in third place after the first two rounds of the Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio which were played Monday.
The Mavericks posted a combined 13-under par score of 563 and trail only Texas Tech (542) and Texas State (562).
Michael Van deVenter was the top performer for the Mavs as he shot a 5-under 139 after posting scores of 67 and 72. He is in sixth place among individuals.
Zack Fischer is in a tie for ninth with a one-under score of 141 (71-70) while Bryce Easton finished 13th with an even par 142 (69-73).
Bobby Massa made one of the biggest turnarounds of the day as he shot 81 in the first round but then carded a 5-under 67 in the afternoon round. He is in a tie for 37th with a 6-over par 148. Kevin Carrigan is in a tie for 43rd with a 7-over 149 (74-75).
Donald Dowie is playing as an individual and he is in a tie for 27th with a 4-over 146 (77-69).
The event is being played at Oak Hills Country Club and to a par of 72 and plays to 6,691 yards. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
