MOBILE BAY INTERCOLLEGIATE ROUND TWO RESULTS 
MOBILE, Al. - After day two of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate the UTA golf team finds itself in 10th place after shooting a team score of 305 Monday for a two-day total of 609 (+33).
The Mavericks trail first place Mississippi State by 20 shots heading into Tuesday's third and final round. The Bulldogs took team honors in the second round with a score of 289.
Bobby Massa, the 20th-ranked golfer in the country improved from a first round 77 to a one-over par 73 Monday and is in a tie for ninth at six-over 150 heading into the final round.
Michael Van deVenter, who lead the Mavericks in round one with a 74, slipped to a 79 Monday and is in a tie for 33rd at 153 (+9). Bryce Easton improved from an 82 Sunday to 75 Monday and is in a tie for 55th at 157 (+13). Kevin Carrigan is also at 13-over 153.
Zack Fischer who also shot 74 Sunday along with Van DeVenter in the first round was disqualified in the second round. UTA's Jamey Taylor shot 79 in round two while playing as an individual and is in a tie for 74th at 161.
The Mavericks will play the third and final round of the tournament Tuesday.
