Border Olympics Final Results 
Laredo, Texas - The UTA golf team finished fourth at the annual Border Olympics at the Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 298 to finish just six shots behind Texas State who shot a team score of 295 Saturday to win the tournament.
UTA also finished ahead of BCS schools such as Arkansas, Aubrun, Washington State, Baylor and Notre Dame.
The Mavericks also had four players finish within the top 25.
Zack Fischer and Bryce Easton each shot 74's Saturday and were the highest finishers for UTA as they completed the tournament in a tie for 13th. They both finished the tournament at eight-over par 220.
Wes Worster had the best round of any Maverick Saturday with a one-over par 73. He finished in a tie for 20th at 10-over 222. Hunter Brown finished in a tie for 25th at 11-over 223 after shooting a 77 Saturday.
Defending champion Bobby Massa struggled again Saturday with an 81 and finished in a tie for 70th at 235. Kevin Varrichio played as in individual for the Mavs and finished in a tie for 82nd at 240 after shooting 82.
