Brag Board Added to Clay Gould Ballpark

ARLINGTON, Texas - Clay Gould Ballpark, the home of UT Arlington baseball, has a new addition beyond the right-center field fence with a 27' X 36' brag board that sits next to the Mavericks scoreboard/video board.

The brag board displays UT Arlington's retired jersey numbers along with its former players who have made their Major League debut.

Maverick numbers that are retired include former head coach Butch McBroom (#30), the late former player and head coach Clay Gould (#8) and the most recent retired jersey of former Maverick and current Kansas City Royals manager Trey Hillman (#1).

Hillman's jersey number will be officially retired in a ceremony prior to the UT Arlington vs. Stephen F. Austin game on Saturday, May 8, with Hillman in attendance at Clay Gould Ballpark.

The remainder of the board includes "Major League Mavericks" which showcases the UTA players who have played/managed in the big leagues with the years they played at UTA listed beneath their names.

The list of Major League Mavericks include, Dave Owen (1977-79), Steve Foster (1987-88), John Lackey (1998), Dan Ortmeier (2000-02), Mark Lowe (2002-04), Ryan Roberts (2002-03), Hunter Pence (2003-04), Trey Hillman (1982-85) and Adam Moore (2006).
