NCAA Regional Round One Results 
San Diego, Calif. - UT Arlington junior Zack Fischer is in a tie for 12th after the first round of the NCAA Regionals at Carlton Oaks Golf CLub in San Diego.
Fischer carded an one over 73 Thursday and ranks as the third-highest finishing individual golfer in the field. Southern Mississippi's Paul Apyan and Cal State Northridge's Nick Delio each shot 71 Thursday to hold the individual lead.
The top two individual golfers whose team does not advance to the NCAA Championships will advance to that tournament.
Fischer finds himself five shots off the lead of four-under set by Eddie Olson of UNLV.
The second round is scheduled for Friday.
