Arlington, Texas - The UT Arlington men's tennis team will take a short break from the road to host four matches at the UTA Tennis Center.
UTA first takes on Columbia on Friday, March 18. The Lions are 5-4 on the season and have won their last three matches. Before Columbia takes on the Mavericks they will face SMU (Mar. 15) and TCU (Mar. 17).
The Mavericks final two matches against Saint Mary's and Nevada in Sacramento, CA were cancelled due to rain in the area.
The Mavericks began playing their match against Saint Mary's Sunday but rain delayed the match and later it was cancelled. UTA did win the doubles point and were ahead 5-4 in one of the singles flights.
UT Arlington finished the trip to California with a 1-1 record, winning a 7-0 decision against Montana State and falling 4-3 to Sacramento State.
Following UTA's match against Columbia, the Mavs will face New Mexico State on Sunday, March 20. Match time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
