Final Results 
NORMAN, Okla. - Four UT Arlington men's track and field performers grabbed first place in their respective events Saturday at the Oklahoma Invitational in the Mavericks' final preparation for the Southland Conference Championship.
On the track, Clayton Vaughn won the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.73. His clocking ranks as the fastest time in the Southland Conference this season.
In addition, Isiah Clements claimed victory in the high jump, clearing a season-best 2.11 meters. Jeff Rodriguez won the pole vault for the fourth time in five events this indoor season with a mark of 5.18 meters.
UTA dominated the 800 meters with a bevy of top-10 conference times. Emil Blomberg paced the field with a time of 1:53.64, the third-best time in the league this year. He edged Anthony Hilliman, who grabbed second in 1:54.13. Philip Critelli (4th, 1:56.30) and Anthony Groom (5th, 1:57.15) gave the Mavericks four of the top five finishers.
Other top-five landings included: Lionel Mungwari (3rd in long jump, 6.88m), Brandon Waller (4th in long jump, 6.83m), Andrew Pettis (4th in 200 meters, 22.50), Cody Widener (4th in mile, 4:29.72) and Aaron Purser (5th in mile, 4:29.81).
UTA also had three women earn top-five finishes. Marissa Paz had the best finish, placing third in the 800 meters in 2:20.37. Meanwhile, Jennifer Brown landed fourth in the triple jump (11.51 meters) and Courtney Mose took fifth in the 800 (2:20.88).
The men's and women's teams will compete in the Southland Conference Championships Feb. 24-25 in Norman, Okla.
