ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington women's basketball hosts Troy Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at College Park Center in its sixth Sun Belt Conference game of the season. The Mavericks are 1-15 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

"Since the Texas State game, we've really been working on some things we saw during that game and focusing on Troy," UT Arlington coach Krista Gerlich said. "Troy has some great players so we're going to have to really work on defense and keeping them in front of us."

The Mavericks lost their fifth straight league game Wednesday, as they fell 68-60 at Texas State. Senior Desherra Nwanguma scored a season-high 25 points in the loss.

This marks the second time these two schools will meet, as UT Arlington defeated Troy 65-54 in Orlando, Fla. in 2005.

The Trojans are coming off their first conference win of the season after defeating UL-Lafayette 87-75 Saturday at home. Senior guard Joanna Harden is leading the way offensively for Troy with 24.8 points per game.

Briana Walker leads the Mavericks in scoring with 14.3 points per game, with Laila Suleiman and Nwanguma scoring 10.9 points per game each.
