2015 SBC Tournament Championship Bracket

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The UT Arlington Mavericks will head to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament as the No. 4 seed this weekend after the league announced the official bracket and seeding following the finale of regular season play on Sunday.

UTA will take on No. 5 seed Little Rock in the opening round of the single-elimination tournament at 4:00 p.m. CT on Friday in Statesboro, Ga. and with a win would move into the tournament semifinals to take on either No. 1 Arkansas State or No. 8 Georgia Southern.

Diane Seymour's crew is making its third consecutive appearance in the SBC Tournament after joining the league in 2013. The Mavs are 3-2 all-time in the event, having made it to the title match in 2013 and to the semifinals a year ago before being eliminated by eventual-champion Little Rock.

The Mavs closed out the regular season on Sunday with a sweep of South Alabama, giving them a 10-6 record in league play and 19-9 overall mark. UTA split the season series with the Trojans, who finished a game back in the standings at 9-7 in SBC play. Little Rock picked up a five-set win over UTA in Little Rock on Sept. 27 before the Mavs rebounded to down the Trojans 3-1 in Arlington a week later.

The 2015 Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Championship begins Friday with four first-round matches. The action will continue on Saturday with two semifinal matches. The championship match is scheduled for Sunday at noon CT while all matches are set to be aired live on ESPN3.
