Following its road victories at Texas and North Texas last week, the UTA men's basketball team was named the Mid-Major Team of the Week by HERO College Sports News, a website that covers college sports.

UTA defeated Texas for the first time in series history on Tuesday in Austin, then knocked-off North Texas by 16 points in Denton on Saturday.  On Monday, the Mavericks ran their win streak to 6-straight with a 50-point victory at home against Division III UT Dallas.
