PALM DESERT, California - The UT Arlington men's golf team closed the second round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate tied for 12th with Little Rock, the only other Sun Belt competitor.
The Mavericks shot 9-over 297 on Saturday for a total of 603 on the weekend at the Classic Club. Aaron Guanlao represents UTA in a tie for sixth with a 5-under-par 67 second round.
The third and final day of the tournament begins 8:30 a.m. MT Sunday with another 18 holes to play in Palm Desert, California.
Zach Galliford finished the day tied for 38th as he replicated his Friday performance matching 75. Jake Greenspoon shot a 77 in the second round to tie for 78th. Josh Radcliff dropped into a tie for 84th after shooting 78 and Harrison Moore rounds out the Maverick lineup in 112th with an 85.
Kansas remains in first place with a 2-over 290 on Saturday to total 575.
