LAFAYETTE, Louisiana - Zach Galliford is tied for third and UT Arlington is seventh after Monday's first two rounds of the Louisiana Classics.

Galliford is one shot off the lead at firing a 5-under-par 139 through 36 holes at Oakbourne Country Club. The junior opened with a 4-under 68 in the morning before carding a 71 in the afternoon round. Texas A&M's Adria Arnaus and Illinois' Thomas Detry share the lead at 6 under.

Tanner Gore is also under par through two rounds after an even-par 72 and 1-under 71 for a 143 total. Jake Greenspoon (T35, 147), Aaron Guanlao (T51, 149) and Josh Radcliff (T55, 150) also competed for UTA.

The Mavericks shot 286-291 for a team total of 1-over 577. Illinois leads the team standings with an 18-under 558, one shot better than Texas A&M. The other Sun Belt programs in the 12-team event are Louisiana (8, 581) and Texas State (10, 590).

The third and final round gets underway at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
