UTA director of golf Stuart Deane fired a 2-over par 74 today and appears poised (as of 4:45 p.m. PDT) to place among the top 70 individuals and advance to the final round of the 2017 PGA Professional Championship at Sunriver Resort in Oregon.
Deane, who narrowly missed the cut at the AT&T Byron Nelson and just last week claimed medalist honors at the Prize Possessions Eastern Championship, turned in rounds of 73-72-74 for a 4-over par 219. The low 70 scorers and ties following Tuesday's third round will compete in an 18-hole finale Wednesday. The final 36 holes will be conducted at Crosswater Club.
The low 20 scorers following Wednesday's final round earn a berth in the 99th PGA Championship, Aug. 10-13, at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C.
