Forward Faith Pope became the second of the four recently departed seniors from last year's UTA men's basketball team to sign a contract to play professionally in Europe. The Mt. Pleasant, Iowa native will open his professional career with Units pel BÃ squet Gandia in Spain's Liga EBA.
Pope played two seasons at UTA after transferring from Tyler Junior College. He played 70 games with six starts and posted career averages of 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. His 36 appearances last season tied a program record for most in a single season.
Earlier this month, Jorge Bilbao signed an agreement to play with Legia Warsaw of the Polish League's first division.
