Highly popular former UTA men's basketball forward Jorge Bilbao has signed the first contract of his professional career with Legia Warsaw of Polska Liga Koszykówki (Polish Basketball League).  The Bilbao, Spain native graduated in May after a career at UTA during which he averaged 5.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.  Last season, he posted career best averages of 9.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and shot .539 from the field.

Bilbao joins a Legia Warsaw side that dates back to 1929 and enjoyed significant success during its first few decades.  The team earned its way back to the Polish League first division this season after winning the second division title last spring.
