THIS AND THAT
- Steinarsson resided in a tie for 9th entering the day, but fell back with the 77 as he couldn't overcome a pair of doubles. His round also featured a pair of birdies but three bogeys. The Icelander tied for 6th in the field in par-5 scoring at 4.50 (-6) for the week.
- Jones moved up 14 positions from his overnight spot on the leaderboard thanks to a very clean card which included 15 pars, two birdies and just one bogey. He led UTA in par-4 scoring over the 54 holes at 4.10 (+3) and also in birdies with 10.
- Lindberg – who was teeing it up for the Mavs in a collegiate tournament for the first time since the 2017-18 season – bettered the 14-spot jump by Jones to increase his position by 15 slots thanks to a career-low 71. The senior had two bogeys and three birdies as he bested his previous round by one stroke.
- Cole struggled to get much going as he could muster just one birdie on the day. However, he finished the week leading the Mavs in par-3 scoring at 3.08 (+1) for the three rounds – tied for the 12th-best in the field.
- Sophomore Menacho rolled in a pair of birdies in his final round as he was competing for UTA for only the second time.
- Massengale had an up-and-down day as he dropped in four birdies, but also registered seven bogeys and a double as part of an adventurous card. For the week, Massengale played the par-5 holes in -5 (4.58).
NEXT ON THE TEE
