UT Arlington's Girls Empowerment Day Postponed to February

ARLINGTON – The UT Arlington women's basketball has postponed this Saturday's Girls Empowerment Day scheduled for Saturday, January 8.

The Lady Mavs will welcome all young females for Girls Empowerment Day on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the College Park Center.

Those who registered will still be able to attend the Troy game on Saturday at 2 p.m. as well as the contest on Feb. 12 against Louisiana.

Join the Lady Mavs for a day to celebrate and inspire young girls. The girls empowerment session will take place inside the CPC from 12:30PM-1:30 PM.

This power hour will help girls ages 8-16 years old understand that it is ok to have a mental health issue and where they can go to get help. UTA have teamed up with Girls Inc, Girls on the Run, Girl scouts of Northeast Texas, UTA School of Social Work, and UTA School of Nursing to help lead the discussion and activities for this hour.

Tickets to Girls Empowerment Day are free and will serve as your admission into the game. Tickets can be claimed here.
