A-State battled back to move back ahead by one, but Jacobs scored the next four points followed by a 3-pointer from Ferrell to lead it 47-42. UTA maintained a 50-44 lead late in the third, but some minor contact and jawing between Ferrell and Trinitee Jackson caused a major uproar according to the officials. The officials' controversy ejected both players with a pair of double technicals.
UTA pushed its lead to eight at 52-44, but A-State put together a 9-2 run to close the quarter to make it a 54-53 game going to the fourth.
The Lady Mavs maintained the lead through the quarter, building the lead back to six thanks to a Milton 3-pointer. However, the persistent A-State kept pushing and got a huge 10-0 run to turn their 70-64 deficit into a 74-70 lead with two minutes to play.

QUOTABLES
"So proud of these seniors and the marks they've left on this program and what they've done for me. Give full credit to Arkansas State. Tough ball game. Any team that can knock down shots like that and stay in rhythm is tough. I still know what type of team I have and I know what type of team I want to have in Pensacola." -
Shereka Wright
"it's tough (managing emotions). You can tell everyone is there to celebrate us. It was definitely really challenging to switch from the emotional side to playing a game." - Claire Chastain
"It's been a great four years. Lot of emotions today. We know when the ball is tipped off though, it's go time." -
