CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The UT Arlington women's golf team looks to begin its first tournament of the spring as the Mavericks will compete in Texas A&M – Corpus Christi's Isander Classic beginning Monday, Feb. 20 through Tuesday, Feb. 21 from Corpus Christi Country Club.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
- Freshman Madison Le has earned head coach Catherine Matranga's top spot in the first lineup of the spring as Le has competed in every event so far this year. Le holds the best scoring average of 75.67 among the team and has turned in three top-30 finishes.
- In the Mavericks' final event of the fall, Hannah Choi tabbed her best finish back at the Ozarks National Invitational where she tied for 30th place with rounds of 77-79-77. Across 15 rounds, Choi sits at an 80.00 scoring average.
- Senior Romina Gonzalez is heading into her third event of the 2022-23 season after playing in the Little Rock Golf Classic and the Ozarks National Invitational back in the fall. In Branson, Gonzalez came away with her best round of the season – a 1st-round 75.
- Freshman Kamri Gabel sits on a current scoring average of 77.89 after competing in three tournaments last fall. The Texas native's best round came from the season-opening USA Intercollegiate back in Sept. 2022 where she turned in a final-round 73.
- Connor Howard will begin her final semester with the Mavericks, earning the final spot in the Islander Classic lineup. The graduate student posted back-to-back top-40 finishes in the final two events of the fall. Howard holds a 78.33 average over 12 rounds.
NEXT UP
The Mavericks will three weeks off from competitive action as UTA will look ahead to Houston Christian's HCU Husky Invitational (Mar. 13-14) in Sugar Land, Texas.
