PROVO, Utah – The UT Arlington women's golf team carried its momentum into Monday's second round at the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational as the Mavericks broke the record for the lowest 36-hole total in program history.
With a 1st-round 280 and 2nd-round 297, UTA logged a 577 36-hole total as the team sits at just +1 for the tournament. The Mavs reside in 6th-place overall just three shots shy of Idaho in 5th.
Newcomer
Nitisha Manikandesh has made quite the impact in just her first tournament with the Mavericks after posting a 1st-round 72 and 2nd-round 73. Sophomores
Kamri Gabel and
Madison Le sit in a good spot with Gabel tied for 6th and Le tied for 17th.

Gabel
- Gabel shot even through the first eight holes before a bogey set her card back just 1-over, producing a 37 on the front nine. The sophomore went on to birdie 10 and 12 that placed her at an impressive -1. With two bogeys across her final four holes, Gabel went on to tab a 2nd-round 74.
Le
- Le played her opening nine in +5 with two hiccups on 5 and 9. However, the sophomore was able to settle in nicely, carding four birdies across the back side. Despite rolling two bogeys, Le was able to log a 2nd-round 75.
Manikandesh
- Manikandesh played Monday's round the best of the Maverick squad as the newcomer posted a 2nd-round 73. Aside from one double on 11, the transfer's card was nearly flawless. Manikandesh recorded one birdie – which came on 15.
Gulhane
- Gulhane produced a 39 on the front nine with a double on 3 and a bogey on 8 before entering the back side. Despite putting up two additional bogeys, the freshman recorded seven pars, leading to a 77.
Tran
- Tran improved her score by five shots from Sunday's first round as she came away with a 2nd-round 75. The sophomore's round featured seven bogeys, seven pars and four birdies – which came on 1, 9, 11 and 17.
