DALLAS – UT Arlington men's golf opened competition at the Trinity Forest Invitational at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. Sophomore
Diego Nuno led the way for the Mavericks, shooting a one-over 73. The team finished the day with a total of 300.
Nuno finished with six birdies on the day, on Nos. 1, 2, 5, 7, 11 and 14, and also carded four pars to finish at +1 on Sunday.
Graduate student
Ethan Miller finished second for the Mavs, with a two-over 74. The Austin, Texas, native birdied on two occasions, on No. 2 and No. 7, respectively. He also finished with 12 pars.
The second round is set to get underway beginning at 9:45 a.m. on Monday.
