THACKERVILLE, Okla. - All UT Arlington men's golfers in action this week posted season-low rounds at the Spring Indy Event, contested Monday and Tuesday at Scissortail Golf Course.
The 54-hole event featured individual player scoring only and was hosted by the University of Oklahoma.
Trent Griessel led the Mavs on the links with an 8-over par score of 224 (79-71-74), with his round-two score tying a career-low. Griessel tallied 12 birdies over the three-day event, highlighted by a six-birdie round two.
Michael Chevalier was two shots behind in posting a 10-over 226 (74-71-81), with the second-round 71 tying Griessel for the lowest round by a Mav. Chevalier's career-low round two score was highlighted by four birdies, as he tallied 10 during the event.
Alberto Menacho shot 11-over 227 (76-77-74), highlighted by three eagles during the event. In round one, Menacho eagled both the par 5 9th hole and the par four 12th. Later in the day in round two, Menacho again eagled the 12th. Menacho also carded seven birdies during the tournament.
Diego Nuno shot a career-best 15-over 231, with a pair of rounds of 78 sandwiched around a career-low 75, carding four birdies overall.

The Mavs will conclude their regular season Apr. 14-16 at the Maridoe Intercollegiate in nearby Carrolton, Texas in UTA's final tune-up before the Western Athletic Conference Championship Apr. 26-28.
