SEATTLE – The UT Arlington Maverick baseball team fell to the Seattle U Redhawks in a 4-0 loss in the second game of the series this Saturday, at Bannerwood Park.
GAME FLOW
Ryan Ellis started the game with the Mavericks first hit in the top of the 1st, however, no runs were able to get plated. The Redhawks scored the first of the game in the bottom of the 3rd to jump out to and early 1-0 lead.
After a very quiet offensive game from either team, and in the bottom of the 8th inning, the Redhawks plated three more runs to jump out to a 4-0 lead.
Tate Bethel and
Jackson Hill recorded the only other Maverick hits in the loss.
PITCHING PROFILE
Being tabbed as the starter,
Zach Norris performed well in his 13th start of the season. The Paris, Texas native pitched for 6.0 innings and recorded 7 strikeouts in his outing. The senior also allowed just 4 hits and 1 walk in his Saturday start.
ON DECK
The Mavs play in the series finale tomorrow, May 12, at 1 p.m. at the Bannerwood Ballpark just outside the campus of Seattle U.
