ARLINGTON - The UT Arlington volleyball team will host a preseason exhibition match against Dallas Baptist inside the College Park Center on Friday at 6 p.m.
The match won't be streamed or feature live stats, but admission is free and the first 300 fans through the door will get a UTA volleyball promotional schedule magnet.
The Mavs are coming off a 21-11 finish overall in 2023, including a 9-7 record in their second season back in the Western Athletic Conference since 2012.
Brianna Ford will return for her graduate season in 2024 looking to further cement her name as one of the greatest players in program history. A three-time all-conference player and a two-time First Team All-WAC selection, she looks to join Katie Weismiller, Ana de Oliveira, Valeria Whitfield and Heather Hoy as one of five Mavs all-time with at least three first team selections, and she would be the first since 1997. With 1,285 kills, she currently ranks 11th in a career, needing 503 to break Heather Hoy's (1,787, 1994-97) all-time record. She also has 907 career digs, needing just 93 more to join the 1,000/1,000 club. In fact, she ranks 30th in career digs, and her 45 career double-doubles ranks ninth-best among Mavs all-time.
