WACO, Texas – The UT Arlington women's golf team wrapped up their final tournament of the fall campaign with an impressive top five showing at the one day, 36 hole Bear Brawl hosted by Baylor from the Ridgewood Country Club down in Waco.
As a team, the Mavericks finished fourth overall in the standings behind rounds of 297-303, moving up two spots in the final round to finish in the top five, their third top 10 finish and second top five showing this fall.
Salome Arango Marin paced the Mavs on the day, finishing 20th overall after turning in rounds of 72-76. She knocked down two birdies and 13 pars on the first 18 holes and turned around and made one birdie and 11 pars on the final 18 holes.
Tarini Bhoga made the largest jump amongst all competitors, jumping up 26 spots in the individual standings to finish tied for 24th overall behind rounds of 78-73. Bhoga knocked down a birdie and 10 pars through the first 18 holes then turned around and made four birdies and nine pars on the final 18 holes.
Nitisha Manikandesh also finished tied for 24th overall behind rounds of 74-77. Through 36 holes, she had three birdies and 20 pars to round out her fall season.
Kamri Gabel also placed in the top 30 for the Mavs, finishing tied for 29th overall after turning in rounds of 75-77. Through 36 holes, she knocked down five birdies and 17 pars.
Chandler Browning finished tied for 41st overall behind rounds of 76-79. She knocked down two birdies and 21 pars to wrap up her fall season.
With the conclusion of the Bear Brawl, the Mavs wrapped up their 2025 fall campaign and set their sights on the 2026 spring slate that will be released in the coming months.
