PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico – UT Arlington's men's golf wrapped up round two at the Vaqueros Intercollegiate in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, on Monday and were led by
Michael Chevalier, who shot a two-over 74 on the day. The team finished the afternoon with a total score of 312.
Chevalier, a sophomore from Grapevine, birdied twice Monday, on Nos. 4 and 15, while carding pars on 12 holes for the Mavs. His 74 was four strokes better than his output during Sunday's opening round.
He, along with
Ethan Miller, are the top individuals for the Mavericks at +8 for the tournament and both are currently tied for 39
th place.
The third and final round will take place on Tuesday morning with a 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. Playa Paraiso Golf Club is a par 72, and the yardage for the tournament is 6,701.
