SACRAMENTO, CA -- The Mavs fell to the Sacramento State Hornets in extra innings behind a score of 1-0.
Senior Caden Noah (0-1) came out of the bullpen for UT Arlington (6-13, 0-2) and took the loss. The left-hander went 2.2 innings, giving up one run on two hits, allowing one walk and striking out three. Sophomore Nicholas Robb was a bright spot for the Mavericks, starting the ballgame and throwing 7.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, with one walk and seven strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UT Arlington managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position. The Mavericks last got a runner on third in the eighth, when senior Tyce Armstrong made it 90 feet away from scoring with one out.
