Former Purdue football standout to lead UTA athletic sales and sponsorship efforts.
UT Arlington Athletics and Learfield also announced the appointment of Josh White as general manager for Maverick Sports Properties, Learfield's on-campus entity. Beginning with the 2015-16 athletic season, Arlington-based Mavericks Sports Properties will collaborate daily with the UTA athletic administration.
White relocated to Arlington from San Antonio, where he spent the last six years with Spurs Sports & Entertainment. During his time with the organization, he served as senior manager of WNBA business operations and most recently as senior manager of WNBA and AHL business operations driving sponsorship sales initiatives, implementing strategic plans and playing an integral role in key leadership decisions and staff management. The Texas Tech alum also has prior experience serving three years with his alma mater as Athletics' sales and marketing coordinator for women's basketball.
In his role leading Maverick Sports Properties, White will oversee all components of the comprehensive rights relationship between Learfield and UTA Athletics providing corporate partners both traditional and new media opportunities with the Mavs through inventory such as venue signage; event sponsorships and promotion; corporate hospitality; television; digital engagement and visibility via the official athletics website; and radio game broadcasts and coaches' shows on the UT Arlington Sports Network. UTA is one of seven university athletic departments with an individual rights relationship with Learfield Sports.
