We bring you last week's top former Mavericks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Javon Levi (5'11''-PG-1998, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Croatia). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Dubrovnik (1-9) to beat Split (25-4) in the Croatian Premijer Liga. Levi recorded 8 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals in 39 minutes. Dubrovnik lost 65-80 at home to the second-ranked Split. This year Levi averages 9.6ppg, 6.0rpg, 4.8apg and 3.0spg in 26 games he played so far.
#2. Experienced
Karol Gruszecki (6'6''-G/F-1989, played in 2011-13, plays in Poland) was not able to help PGE Spojnia Stargard in their game against Anwil (22-5) in the Polish OBL. Gruszecki scored 5 points. PGE Spojnia Stargard was defeated 70-64 on the road by the leading Anwil. It was PGE Spojnia Stargard's first loss after three consecutive victories. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Gruszecki averages 8.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.3apg.
#3. Jorge Bilbao (6'9''-C/F-1995, played in 2013-17, currently in Spain) managed to help Urbas Fuenlabrada Madrid in a victory against the tenth-ranked Ourense (12-15) 76-66 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 29 minutes. Urbas Fuenlabrada Madrid (10-17) is placed 14th in the LEB Gold. This year Bilbao averages 3.5ppg and 4.3rpg in 27 games.
#4. Lazaro Rojas (6'11''-C-1996, played in 2020-22, plays pro in Brazil) contributed to a Sport Club Corinthians Paulista's victory against one of league's weakest teams Caxias do Sul (8-25) 107-93 in the Brazilian NBB last Wednesday. He recorded 5 points. Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (2-1) is placed fourth in the NBB. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Rojas averages 2.4ppg and 1.6rpg.
#5. Brandon Edwards (6'6''-F-1991, played in 2010-14, plays in Kosovo) helped his Kosovan team Trepca win their game against the closely-ranked Prishtina 83-80 in the Liga Unike on Friday night. He recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 16 minutes. KB Trepca Mitroviceis placed fifth in the Liga Unike. This year Edwards averages 6.0ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg in three games.
#6. Jabari Narcis (6'9''-C-1997, played in 2018-20, currently in Japan), who plays in the Japanese B3 League was not able to secure a victory for Shanan Utd (25-25) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Narcis' good performance Shanan Utd was defeated 90-85 on their home court in Kanagawa by the lower-ranked Swoops (#12). He scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Narcis has relatively good stats this season 10.6ppg and 6.7rpg.
