Admission:


Spectator admission: Students $5.00 & Adults $8.00.
 
Spectator entrance is located on the south end of Maverick Stadium. Gates will open at 10 am.
 
No other passes will be honored. This INCLUDES: District passes, Coaches Passes, and District ID cards). These individuals should have wristbands.
Coaches will be issued three (3) complimentary wristbands for single gender programs and five (5)complimentary wrist bands for dual gender programs.
 
 
Wrist bands are intended for coaches, athletic trainers & athletic directors only!
Additional wristbands can be purchased in advanced by emailing jldurham@uta.edu $5.00 per wristband requested for staff only.
 

Parking:

Parking for the track meet will be on the south side of the Maverick Stadium. Bus parking and overflow will be available in LOT 27 on the east side of Maverick Stadium.
 
Team and athlete drop off and pick up will be located on the east side of Maverick Stadium. Team buses, vans,district vehicles will park in designated areas ONLY.

Athletic Trainers:
 
Athletic trainers from the UT Arlington Sports Medicine Program will be on duty throughout the meet. The primary contact for sports medicine for these The Under Armour High School Relays will be Lauren Jordan-Craddock, ATC, LAT. The athletic training area will be for emergencies only and athletes must be accompanied by UTA Athletic Trainers for use. No team preventative treatments will be done at either athletic training areas.
It is encouraged and recommended that teams travel with their own athletic training staff.
 

TRACK AND FIELD NOTES:

 
  1. The National Federation of State High School Associations Track and Field Rules Book(with the UIL Supplement) will govern the Track and Field Meet.
 
  1. Please caution all athletes that qualified judges will be conducting the meet. Any rule violation will be reported by Event Judges and may result in a disqualification, including Lane and Relay Exchange Violations.
 
  1. Warmups: All Warm-ups will take place on the grass fields located at the north end of the Stadium.No warm-ups are allowed on the Track or Infield. Athletes in uniform with their number on can be on the infield no earlier than one (1) hour prior to their event. After participating in their event, athletes must retire to the Team Area. Coaches are not allowed on the infield during any running event.
 
  1. Athlete Check-In: Event check in at the Check-In Tent, at the northwest entrance to the track.Uniforms and Spikes will be checked at check-in time. Athletes must listen for announcements at the Warm-up Area. They will be called to the hipping area approximately 15 minutes prior to their event, and will be escorted onto the track by Heat.
 
  1. Coaches Packets: Packet pickup will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, March 4th. Coaches can pick up their packets at the FRONT DESK of the MAVERICK STADIUM LOBBY (see map). There will be signage for you to follow. Coaches can be dropped off and will be allowed to walk down the west side of the stadium to access packet pick up. Once coaches have their wristband, they can proceed to meet team on east side of the stadium to distribute bands for team access to the facility.
 
  1. Relay Participant Verifications: Relay Participant Verifications: Coaches should fill out all relay cards and have them turned into the hipping tent 1 hour prior to the start of the relay. No late relay cards will be accepted. Athletes are welcome to check in at the time relay cards are received.
 
  1. Only white athletic tape may be used for relay marks.
 
  1. Scratches and additions are to be made through Jordan Durham. See section above for further details on the procedure to make changes and scratches. DEADLINE for scratches and additions will be Wednesday, March 1st. Heats and lane assignments are finalized on Friday, March 3rd. Changes on meet day will only be made due to extreme circumstances.
 
  1. Team camps will only be allowed on the east side of the Stadium. Team Camps are prohibited in the warm- up area, West grandstands, or on the grass area on the west side of Maverick Stadium.
 
  1. No spectators, parents, coaches, non-participating student-athletes or fans will be allowed on the infield at any time, especially for photo sessions. The infield will be open to only running event participants at their time of competition.

Seeding Procedures

 
Top 1-12 entry times – serpentine* to determine heats – then draw randomly for preferred lanes 3-4-5-6 in each heat
13-24 entry times – serpentine*to determine heats – then draw randomly for preferred lanes 1-2- 7-8 for each heat
 
800/1600/3200 – We will use a 2 alley start.
