Caleb Westfall joined the UT Arlington baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach in August of 2026 after spending two seasons at the University of South Carolina.
At South Carolina, Westfall served as graduate assistant coach and assistant director of player development, working under Hall of Fame coach Paul Mainieri. He assisted with the development of the Gamecocks' hitters and infielders while contributing to offensive game planning, advanced scouting reports, defensive positioning and recruiting operations. Westfall also utilized TrackMan, Edgertronic, TruMedia and Synergy technology to support player development and game preparation.
Westfall helped South Carolina secure one of the nation's top-ranked transfer portal classes entering the 2026 season while playing a key role in organizing on-campus recruiting visits and coordinating daily practice plans.
Before joining the Gamecocks, Westfall spent the 2023-24 school year as an assistant baseball coach at Sulphur High School in Sulphur, Louisiana. He worked primarily with hitters and infielders while also overseeing outfield positioning, coordinating camps and helping develop several Division I prospects. In addition to his coaching duties, he taught 10th-grade World Geography.
Westfall previously spent five years as a student manager at LSU, where he gained experience in practice planning, offensive and defensive instruction, team operations, travel coordination and facility management while working alongside one of the nation's premier collegiate baseball programs.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in sport administration with a minor in business from LSU in 2023 before completing a Master of Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina in 2026.
