Tommy McMahon

Thomas (Tommy) McMahon was named the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in the summer of 2021 after spending his first two years with the UTA Strength and Conditioning department as a Graduate Assistant. He is the strength and conditioning coach for the baseball and women’s tennis programs.

Prior to UTA, McMahon spent one year as a strength and conditioning coaching at the University of Kentucky. He assisted with baseball, men’s and women’s swimming, and various other Olympic sports. 

Previously, he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Rhode Island. There, he primarily worked with women’s basketball, women’s tennis and assisted with men’s basketball.

McMahon graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He holds his SCCC through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as the Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) Level 1 certification. McMahon is originally from Medway, Mass.
