Adolphus Jones

Former UT Arlington multi-event standout Adolphus Jones is in his first season as a volunteer coach for the track and field program in 2016.

Jones, who competed for two seasons (2008-09), ranks second in the school record books in scoring in both the outdoor decathlon (7,178) and indoor heptathlon (5,475).

The native of Saint Kitts and Nevis competed in the decathlon for his native country at the 2007 Pan American Games, the 2010 Commonwealth Games, and the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Athletics in 2008 and 2009. He holds several Saint Kitts and Nevis records, including 7,258 points in the decathlon and 5,475 points for the indoor heptathlon.

Also a soccer star, he played as goalkeeper for the Saint Kitts and Nevis national football team in two matches for the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
