Bruno Tiberti

Bruno Tiberti joined the UT Arlington tennis program as an assistant coach in January 2021.

He started his coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach at Georgia Gwinnett College, winning the 2014 national title to then move back to Argentina. He is now the captain of the first division team at Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club. The competition is held in December and he coaches a team with these players on the roster : Andres Molteni, Santiago Giamichelle, Roman Burruchaga, Lautaro Midon , Valentino Caratini, Tomas Etcheverry, Juan Pablo Ficovich, Martin Cuevas, Nicolas Kicker and Gaston Briano as well as Nicolas Romani in the coaching staff.

As a player, Tiberti was ranked top five under 16 in Argentina. Before going to college, his ATP ranking was 650 as a 19-year-old. 

Tiberti started his college tennis career at Oklahoma Christian University in 2011 and won the NAIA national championship in 2012. 

Tiberti was named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Star Team, which was made up of the top-ranked collegiate players and national champions from throughout the country. He ended the season at No. 1 in the NAIA in the Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings after helping the Eagles win the program’s second NAIA title. Tiberti was also named as the Ward-Ballinger Outstanding Player of the NAIA Championship. 

After OCU removed their tennis program the following year, he transferred to Georgia Gwinnett College. His senior year, he won the national championship again, after having an undefeated season. He followed that up with another championship as a coach at GGC in 2014.

Originally from Argentina, Tiberti moved to Geneva, Switzerland at an early age. When he was 10, he moved back to Argentina and became a serious tennis player.

Tiberti enjoys soccer and supports Rosario Central, which is a team in Argentina. He is also an Oklahoma City Thunder fan and likes to play golf. He is married to Luciana Antonicelli and they have a dog and a cat, Audrey and Tricky.
