Tory Bryant returns for his third season on the bench as an assistant coach at The University of Texas at Arlington. Bryant handles the academics and strength and conditioning for the Lady Mavs, as well as assisting in the recruiting process. He is also in charge of tape exchange along with his on court duties of working with the post players.

In his two seasons at UTA, Bryant has helped to form one of the most dynamic inside duos in the Souhtland Conference in Sheena Johnson and Rola Ogunoye. The two rank as the team[apos]s leading rebounder and scorer in each of the last two seasons and have been named second team all-SLC performers in each of the last two years.

Bryant came to UTA from West Texas A&M, where he served two years as a graduate assistant under one of Division II[apos]s all-time winningest coaches in Bob Schneider. At WTAMU, Bryant served as the recruiting coordinator, and was in charge of scheduling and scouting, as well as his on-court responsibilities of working with the guards. Bryant also assisted with academics and the strength and conditioning programs at WTAMU.

In his two years at WTAMU, the Lady Buffs compiled a 42-16 record, making two trips to the Lone Star Conference (LSC) Tournament, including one runner-up finish, and one trip to the NCAA Regionals. During his tenure, two players - Latracia Spencer and Brandi Green - earned All-America status. One of Bryant[apos]s prized recruits at WTAMU, Celeste Stevenson, was named the 2001-02 LSC Freshman of the Year.

Prior to his work at WTAMU, Bryant served one year as the student assistant/head junior varsity coach at Lubbock Christian. His responsibilities included organizing JV practices and coordinating recruiting.

Bryant received a Master of Science in interdisciplinary studies in 2001 from West Texas A&M.

Bryant received Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science, with a minor in biology, from Texas Tech University in 1999.

Bryant attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine for two years and was a starter his sophomore year for the Lobos under head coach Roger Grant.

Bryant graduated from Plainview High School in 1994 where he was an all-district performer on the gridiron and the hardwood. Bryant was a starting guard on the [apos]94 PHS state championship basketball team. As a cornerback on the football field, Bryant helped lead the team to a 22-3 record and an undefeated record in district as a senior.

Bryant also has extensive summer camp experience outside of UTA, including stints at West Texas A&M, Texas Tech, University of Texas, University of Missouri and numerous other collegiate and high school camps.

Bryant is also a member of the Women[apos]s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC).

Bryant is married to his wife, Lee, who works at Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth. The couple resides in Arlington.

Byrant keeps himself busy outside of basketball as he is on the Board of Directors at the Wesley Foundation and Trinity United Methodist Church.
