Aubrey Reid enters her first season on the bench in a different role for the 2025-26 season. Shortly before the start of the season, Reid decided to retire as a player. Reid was on the Lady Mavs roster for two seasons before deciding to hang it up.Â

As a redshirt-freshman, Reid averaged 2.0 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game across 12 contests, which included two starts.She finished 8-of-20 (.400) from the field, 2-of-11 (.182) from three-point range and 6-of-8 (.750) from the foul line. She saw her first collegiate action in the season opener at Arizona (11/4), where she recorded a career-high four rebounds. Reid recorded her first collegiate bucket against Arlington Baptist (11/7). She registered a career-high seven points on two separate occasions, at Purdue (11/24) and versus Utah Valley (2/6) with a career-high two assists against the Wolverines. Reid swiped a career-high two steals against Wiley (12/30).

As a true freshman, she did not appear in any games due to injury.

Reid is a 2023 graduate of Austin High School in Austin, Texas and was the No. 30 ranked player in Texas for the Maroons. She averaged 13 points, five rebounds and four assists as a junior and was named First Team All-District 26-6A as well as Academic All-District.

Her twin sister Shanel played basketball at SMU.
