UTA tennis head coach Diego Benitez announced the addition of Diego Brunicardi as his newest assistant in October of 2017.
Brunicardi comes to the Mavericks with more than 30 years of experience on the court including professional and collegiate play. Brunicardi played collegiate tennis for Mercer University.
As a player, Brunicardi Was the No. 1 ranked player in the Florida Men's Open Division, while being featured as a Top1- player in the Venezuela Circuit, a Top-20 junior in Florida and has played on the Future and Satellite Circuits.
As a coach, he has spent time with the Bolletieri and Evert Academy, working with world ranked players, including both from the WTA and ATP Tours. He was the director of the Four Seasons Community in Delray Beach for nine years, as well as serving as the general manager and director of the Galindo Tennis Academy.
Brunicardi graduated from Mercer with a degree in International Business. He and his wife Courtney have three kids.
