Entering her first collegiate season, rookie coach Lisa Love brings an impressive record and the tradition of winning, both which have become a major element in UTA volleyball.
Before coming to UTA, Love coached at Arlington Bowie High School for four years, amassing a total of 82 wins and 44 losses. In 1980 and 1981, her teams reached the state semifinals and regionals, respectively.Â
Love attended Sam Houston High School in Arlington and followed a family tradition to Lubbock's Texas Tech. After a four-year volleyball career, she graduated with a degree in physical education in 1978.
Love is an all-around sports enthusiast by participating in women's amateur sports. She enjoys reading and is an orange belt in karate.
