Alex Gettinger, a standout Division I volleyball player who had a five-year career at Pepperdine University, joined the UT Arlington volleyball program as an assistant coach in February 2025.  
 
Gettinger, a former outside hitter, who most recently served as a volunteer assistant at Wyoming last season, helped the Cowboys achieve a 17-13 record while creating game plans and aiding the team by providing accurate scouting reports. 
 
Before Wyoming, Gettinger served as an Associate Director of the 630 Volleyball Club in Lisle, Illinois, leading the Boys’ volleyball program there.  
 
In his time at Pepperdine, the Waves reached the NCAA tournament 3 times, helping lead the way to an MPSF conference tournament championship in his 5th and final season. 
 
PERSONAL 
Obtained a Master of Science in Business in 2022 ... Graduated with a degree in Sport Administration in 2021 ... Married to Emily Gettinger since November 2023.
